Hello Friends and Family,
As most of you know Shirley and I are taking a shot at poker stardom. We are going to head to Las Vegas and going to try to make it as poker professionals. We are leaving oct 1st, 2006 and staying for all of Oct, Nov and depending on how things go December. I will be using this BLOG as an online report of how we are doing. I hope to update it on a nightly bases, so you can all see how we are doing. For the record we have not quit our jobs, we both have time off. I managed to bank my overtime and with some added vacation and shut down I'm off from sept 8th to Jan 4th. Shirley is not as lucky, as her getting time off is a little more difficult. She does have all of October and November off, so we are good for the 2 months at least.
We are going to take a BankRoll of 15,000 USD and see if we are able to maintain the lifestyle that we are accustom! (spa treatment for Shirley I guess) LOL. The plan is to play mid-level Limit holdem (10/20, 15/30 and 20/40) to start. If things work out, I hope to find myself playing 50/100, 100/200 up to the big game of 4000/8000..... LOL I can only dream!!!

We are currently looking for a place to stay. We have done a lot of online research and have found a ton of places that we can stay. We are looking for an apartment or condo that is fully furnished, that can be rented by the month. There is an overwhelming amount of places to stay, so I'm sure we'll find one.
Anyway, this post is just really a test to see how the whole BLOG thing will work. I should be updating it once or twice a week until we actually go. So I guess I'll talk to ya all soon
